Dhanush collaborates with Captain Miller director Arun Matheswaran for the third time

Dhanush has a packed 2023 ahead of him. With Captain Miller gearing up for a year-end release, Dhanush is working on the several projects he has in the pipeline. Amid this, the actor has added yet another film in his lineup, notably set to be helmed by Arun Matheswaran.

Dhanush confirms a reunion with Arun Matheswaran 

Dhanush and Arun Matheswaran have only recently wrapped up their collaboration on Captain Miller, slated for a mid-December theatrical release. With their most recent collaboration not even out yet, the actor-director duo have decided to reunite for yet another project. The CEO of Wunderbar films shared an official update revealing that Arun Matheswaran has been signed on to direct Dhanush for his next.

The announcement read, "We're elated to sign the visionary Arun Matheswaran for our next venture starring Dhanush sir." Dhanush shared the announcement, expressing his own excitement about the collaboration. The actor wrote, "Looking forward @ArunMatheswaran @wunderbarfilms" Not just Arun Matheswaran, Dhanush has previously collaborated with Anand L Rai too, multiple times. The actor-director duo has worked together on Raanjhanaa and Atrangi Re and are currently working on Tere Ishk Mein. 

Captain Miller has gained immense hype since its announcement

Only recently, the makers of Captain Miller shared the teaser for the film late in July on the occasion of Dhanush's birthday. It portrays the actor in a rugged look, engaged in war against the British. He is notably sporting long hair and a beard in the film which has set itself up to be a gritty action drama. The film, a historical action-adventure drama, will mark Dhanush's first collaboration with Kannada star Shiva Rajkumar.
