Dhanush starrer Captain Miller to not release in Telugu?

As the Sankranthi season approaches, a lineup of movies, including both original Telugu films and dubbed versions, is set for release in Telugu states. Dhanush’s Captain Miller is all set to release on January 12, 2024 as part of Sankranti releases. But the film's Telugu version won’t be released on the same date. An official announcement is expected soon.

Why delay in Captain Miller's Telugu version

According to reports, for reasons best known to the makers of Captain Miller, the Telugu version of the film will see a slight delay in its release. However, these are just speculations and an official confirmation from the makers is yet to come. While the Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi versions are confirmed for a theatrical release. Priyanka Arul Mohan takes on the female, and the film also stars Shiv Rajkumar, Sundeep Kishan, Niveditha Sathish, John Kokken, Vijayakan, and RRR fame Edward Sonnenblick in the lead roles.

Sendhil Thyagaraj and Arjun Thygarajan produced the film under the banner of Sathya Jyothi Films, with GV Prakash Kumar composing the music. Captain Miller was tentatively titled D47 (Dhanush's 47th film in a lead role).  Announced in July 2022, the principal Principal photography commenced that September and wrapped by late 2023, taking place in Chennai, Tirunelveli and Tenkasi.The music is composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, cinematography handled by Siddhartha Nuni and editing done by Nagooran Ramachandran.

Set in 1930s-1940s in Bristish India and follows an outlaw called miller who engages in bloody loots, heists and assaults.
