Mohan G clarifies rumours
It was earlier reported that Mohan G wanted to collaborate with Fahadh Faasil for his upcoming project and that the Malayalam actor has refused to be a part of it. The director has now opened up about the reports. He said that he usually stays unfazed by rumors, but made an exception this time due to the widespread inquiries he received regarding the accuracy of the articles.
Mohan G refuted the claims made by the magazine on social media platform, X. It seems the publication alleged that Mohan G approached Faasil for a role in his forthcoming venture and the actor distanced himself due to dissatisfaction with the proposed storyline. However, the filmmaker said that this narrative was entirely baseless.
'I don't respond to rumours'
Mohan G shared a video wherein he can be heard saying, "Ordinarily, I don't respond to rumours. Nevertheless, this situation compelled me to address the matter and clarify the truth." He proceeded to critique the magazine's editorial choices, accusing them of selective criticism against films and individuals with a bias towards caste-oriented perspectives. He challenged them to concoct equally fabricated tales of him collaborating with even more prominent stars if their intent was mere amusement.
Meanwhile, Mohan G's previous work, Bakasuran, starring Selvaraghavan, faced substantial backlash for its regressive themes. Despite generating pre-release buzz, the film ultimately struggled at the box office. Meanwhile, Fahadh Faasil has been gaining a burgeoning fanbase in Tamil Nadu following the Netflix release of Maamannan. The film's protagonist sparked a wave of memes and online discussions that divided netizens.
