3 things you should know:
- The new single Ee Ulakin is composed by Shaan Rehman.
- The official trailer for King of Kotha was launched recently.
- King of Kotha is scheduled for an August 24 release.
Ee Ulakin has the lead couple falling in love at first sight
Ee Ulakin is composed by Shaan Rahman. Sreejish Subramanian has provided the vocals, while Manu Manjith has penned the lyrics. The video starts with a brief encounter between Kotha Raju (Dulquer Salmaan) and Tara (Aishwarya Lakshmi) in a bustling market, followed by his persistent attempts to meet Tara more often. Eventually, it charts the journey of a romantic relationship between them.
The song also captures the 80s setting of King of Kotha
Besides capturing the dreamy moments of their courtship amid different backdrops and locations, the video also gives us a glimpse into Tara’s character and her backdrop, something that was missing in the trailer. For example, in the initial scenes, we see Tara teaching a few kids and later on, she can be seen leading a group, presumably for a protest, raising slogans while people stand behind her with placards.
King of Kotha is set in the '80s. And we see this theme in one of the visuals where a group of people, Tara and Raju included, is watching a cricket match together on a tiny Black-and-white TV set.
The official trailer of King of Kotha was released yesterday. Directed by Abhilash Joshiy, the film is scheduled to release on August 24, on the auspicious occasion of Onam.
