Sharon Stone hails work of Italian Red Cross

Hollywood actress Sharon Stone released a video message on Saturday to pay tribute to the hard work of the Red Cross during the coronavirus crisis.

"I just want to tell you how much I admire you. How proud I am to serve in any small capacity in your unit," she said.

The actress was awarded the Red Cross gold medal in Italy in 2018, as an acknowledgement for her humanitarian efforts.

For most people, the new coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough that clear up in two to three weeks.

For some, especially older adults and people with existing health problems, it can cause more severe illness, including pneumonia and death.

The vast majority of people recover.
