The makers of Iraivan, starring Jayam Ravi and Nayanthara, launched the trailer of the upcoming psychological thriller. The movie will see Jayam essay Arjun, a fearless cop, who goes on the hunt to catch the 'Smiley Killer', played by Rahul Bose.

Jayam Ravi meets his match in Smiley Killer
Iraivan trailer sets the gritty tone of the film early on. 'Smiley Killer' Brahma is a serial killer who somehow breaks free from police custody. He is accused of murdering young women. Enter ruthless cop Arjun, played by Jayam Ravi, who plays by his own rules.
The rest of the trailer follows the cat-and-mouse chase between them. Nayanthara plays Priya, the love interest of Arjun in the film. Backed by Sudhan Sundaram and Jayaram G of Passion Studios, Iraivan's cinematographer is Hari K Vedanth, while editing is done by Manikanda Balaji. Jayam Ravi was last seen in Ponniyin Selvan II, directed by Mani Ratnam. He is also doing Kalyana Krishnan's Agilan and Antony Bhagyaraj's Siren. Meanwhile, Nayanthara is gearing up for her big Bollywood debut with Atlee's directorial Jawan.
