Jailer Box Office Collection Day 6: Rajinikanth film shatters 2.0, Vikram, PS 1 records

Rajinikanth starrer Jailer has emerged as an all-time blockbuster after releasing on August 10. Tamil Nadu, AP/TL and the US have emerged as the film's biggest markets. While Nelson Dilipkumar directorial had managed to become the highest-grossing Tamil film this year after surpassing PS 2, it continues to smash more records at the global box office.

Jailer continues to rule the box office

In India, Jailer's collection has seen a slight decline since the film's release on August 10. The Rajinikanth starrer opened to Rs 48.35 crore on Thursday. On Tuesday, its collection was Rs 33 crore (as per early estimates). In six days, the movie has collected Rs 207.15 crore, as per Sacnilk.

At the global box office, Jailer had breached the Rs 350 crore mark in just five days. In doing so, it crossed the lifetime business of Mani Ratnam's PS 2. As per trade analyst Manobala, Jailer entered the Rs 400 club in six days. Trade analyst Girish Johar shared on X, formerly Twitter, that Jailer will cross the Rs 400 crore mark in the fastest time. The other four Tamil films in the coveted Rs 400 crore club are 2.0, Ponniyin Selvan I, Kabali and Vikram. 

Rajinikanth meditates in Uttarakhand

After visiting Badrinath temple, Rajinikanth reportedly visited Mahavatar Babaji Cave in Uttarakhand. Several photos from his visit are doing the rounds on social media. The actor trekked through the jungle for two hours.
