ATEEZ Seonghwa to miss out on group activities after grandmother's demise
Except for the concert of Immortal Songs in New York on October 26, Seonghwa won't be taking part in any upcoming ATEEZ activities in the United States.
ATEEZ’s Seonghwa will temporarily cease his activities as a group member due to the passing of his grandmother, as announced by his agency KQ Entertainment. Except for the concert of Immortal Songs in New York on October 26, the singer won't be taking part in any upcoming group activities in the United States.
Seonghwa’s agency issues statement
KQ Entertainment shared the news of Seonghwa’s hiatus in a statement on Wednesday. It said, “We are conveying the unfortunate news that ATEEZ member Seonghwa’s grandmother passed away on October 23. We offer our blessings to the departed, and we ask that you send Seonghwa your warm comfort and support.”
Seonghwa would also be unable to participate in the group's scheduled activities in the United States, according to the label. However, he will participate in the Immortal Songs in New York on October 26 and will return to his regular activities once he has paid his respects to his grandmother.
KQ asked for understanding from the audience, especially from those who were eagerly awaiting ATEEZ's live broadcast to mark their debut anniversary, and they sent their deepest sympathies to the bereaved family.
More about ATEEZ
The eight-member group made its debut under KQ Entertainment in 2018. With their original pirate theme and fascinating first single, Pirate King, ATEEZ launched their career as a band on a small label.
Nevertheless, five years later, despite their humble beginnings, they have become one of the most popular boy groups of K-Pop's fourth generation worldwide.
