BTS V joins forces with American singer UMI for new single Wherever U R

BTS' V will soon release his next single Wherever U R just before his military enlistment. The singer’s agency, Bighit Music, confirmed on Tuesday (December 26) that he will be collaborating with American singer UMI for his new song. The track will be available to stream from December 30, 2023. 

BTS' V to feature in UMI song 

BTS’ official X handle announced V’s upcoming song Wherever U R on Tuesday. The song is slated for release on December 29, 2023, at 9 PM (PST) and December 30, 2023, at 2 PM (KST). Fans will be especially happy about its release because it occurs on V's birthday, which is the day after it is scheduled to be released.

The song’s soothing lyrics recall Sundays and old photos, captured moments in the basement, hint at the need for conversation, and express the desire to call more often despite the passing of time.

BTS' enlistment announcement

After BTS members Jin, J-hope, and SUGA enlisted in the military earlier this year, the rest of the members also started their military service in December. They will serve their country for the next 18 months.

The label urged fans to refrain from visiting the members during their military service. Reports indicate that V will undergo basic military training at Nonsan Training Center before joining the Special Task Force of the Army's Capital Defense Command, renowned as one of the South Korean military's elite units.
