Kushi Trailer: Vijay Deverakonda-Samantha's film narrates the tale of a turbulent marriage

Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu starrer Kushi is all set to hit the theatres on September 1. The film will mark the second collaboration between the actors after their film Mahanati. The trailer of the movie was released today (August 9).

Kushi trailer features lovelorn Vijay falling for a naive Samantha 

Kushi makers released the trailer of the romantic drama film today. The trailer opened with Vijay’s character travelling to Kashmir and falling for Samantha at first sight. Their romance begins from the snow clad mountains and follows their journey till marriage and after that. 
 

Aradhya’s (Samantha) family is against her union with Vijay’s Viplav. In the process, they end up ousting her and then she decides to prove to them that, ‘love is enough to sustain a happy marriage’. The visuals then go on to show the ups and downs of the couple’s married life. Vijay and Samantha exude effervescent chemistry as they take the audience along with their journey of struggles as well as its bittersweet moments.  

Kushi to be Samantha’s last release for a while... 

It was previously reported that Samantha will be taking a break from acting for a year. Kushi will be the actress’s last release for a while. The Shaakuntalam actress, who is currently on an acting break, has not taken on any new projects. She is yet to announced her comeback in the films.

Her career hiatus comes because of her health struggles. The actress is diagnosed with an auto-immune condition called Myositis and is taking a break to focus on her health. However, Samantha will be seen soon in the Indian adaptation of Priyank Chopra’s web series Citadel, for which she had completed shooting before taking a break.
