Kalki 2898 AD
The sci-fi thriller, helmed by Nag Ashwin, boosts of ensemble star cast including Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, Amitabh Bachchan and Disha Patani. Inspired by Hindu scriptures, the movie is set against the backdrop of ancient Indian Hindu mythology and a dystopian society, the story chronicles the journey spanning millennia, from the events of the Mahabharata in the year 3102 BC, the beginning of Kali Yuga, to 2898 AD. The movie will hit the theatres on June 27.
Jatt & Juliet 3
The movie is a sequel to the 2012 blockbuster Jatt & Juliet, and the 2013 blockbuster Jatt & Juliet 2 but not directly connected to the story. The upcoming sequel stars Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa, reprising their roles from the previous films, alongside, Jasmin Bajwa, Rana Ranbir, B.N. Sharma, Nasir Chinyoti. It will narrate the story of two police officers from Punjab who travel to the UK on a mission that takes an unexpected turn, leading to complications. The movie is slated to hit the theatres on June 27.
Kooki
A Hindi film from Assam narrates the trauma of a 16-year-old rape survivor, who feels let down by the justice system. Kooki dreams of a beautiful life, but after a gang assault incident and the court's verdict, she finds herself feeling betrayed by the justice system and life itself. The movie screened at the Marché du Film during the Cannes Film Festival 2024. Now, it will hit the theatres on June 28.
Paradise
Malayalm-language drama stars Roshan Mathew, Darshana Rajendran, Shyam Fernando and Mahendra Perera. The movie tells the story of an Indian married couple whose anniversary vacation goes awry in Sri Lanka, revealing cracks in their relationship. In 2023, the movie had its world premiere at the 28th Busan International Film Festival where it won the Kim Jiseok award. Now, a year later, the movie will finally debut on silver screens. The movie is slated to hit the theatres on June 28.
A Quiet Place: Day One
It is an upcoming American apocalyptic horror film written and directed by Michael Sarnoski, based on a story he conceived with John Krasinski. The movie serves as a spin-off prequel and is the third installment in the A Quiet Place film series. The film stars Lupita Nyong'o, Joseph Quinn, and Alex Wolff, with Djimon Hounsou reprising his role from A Quiet Place Part II (2020).
