After Animal success, Bobby Deol’s long-delayed film with Abbas Mustan gets new title, new platform

Bobby Deol has find a resurgence of sorts in last few years, with the popular web series Ashram and OTT movie Love Hostel. His Abbas Mustan directed film Penthouse, however, was long stuck with a major streaming platform, waiting for a release. Now, after the mega success of Bobby Deol’s latest theatrical release Animal, reports are coming in that Penthouse is being acquired by another streaming platform, besides also getting a new title.

Bobby’s next is now titled Teesvi Manzil

Earlier titled as Penthouse, the film was being planned for a Netflix release. However, reports are coming in that Jio Cinema has acquired the film, and is planning to release the film with the title Teesvi Manzil. The film is reportedly a psychological thriller. 

Besides Bobby Deol, the upcoming Abbas Mustan film stars Arjun Rampal and Sharman Joshi in prominent roles. The film’s ensemble cast also features names like Cyrus Broacha, Mouni Roy among others. 

Penthouse is produced by Gaurav Bose and Sunil Khetarpal. A few days ago, speaking to the media, the director duo commented on the subject, “We have completed the film and handed it over to its producers. Now it depends on them on which OTT platform they release it. We have also heard that the makers of the film have taken back its rights from Netflix and they are in talks with Jio Cinema.” 

Bobby Deol to soon make his Tamil debut with Suriya starrer Kanguva

Bobby Deol and Abbas-Mustan have collaborated on many films together in the last 25 years. Their first film together was the 1998 film Soldier, which was a massive box office success. Later, Bobby and the hit director-duo came together for films like Ajnabee, Humraaz, Naqaab and Race 3. 

Meanwhile, Bobby Deol is also gearing up for his Tamil film debut, and will be seen in Suriya starrer Kanguva.
