Animal on OTT: Sandeep Reddy Vanga to release uncut version of Ranbir Kapoor led family saga in 2024
Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal released in theatres on December 1 and has currently minted worldwide collections upwards of 860 crores.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga is currently basking in the success of his latest theatrical release, Animal. The film's unabashed narrative has sparked several debates with audience reactions and critical reception of the film being rather polarising. However, despite the conjecture, Animal, which released in theatres on December 1, is setting the box office ablaze with its domestic and worldwide collections, currently standing at 532 crores and upwards of 860 crores respectively. With almost a month into its theatrical run, chatter has already begun about the film's much awaited OTT debut.

Animal's OTT version to be uncut
Prior to its release, the Ranbir Kapoor led Animal was making headlines for a plethora of reasons, one of the foremost among them being its hefty runtime. The theatrical version of Animal clocks in at a massive 3 hours, 21 minutes and 16 frames - one of the longest runtimes in contemporary cinema.

The OTT version of Animal however, will reportedly be longer. As per Vanga, as shared in an interview with Komal Nahta, there were about eight to nine minutes of footage from the film which the director was forced to trim owing to sound mixing issues which could not be resolved due to lack of time. These trimmed minutes will now be a part of the cut of Animal released on OTT next year.
When and where to watch Animal on OTT?
The digital streaming rights of Animal have been acquired by streaming platform Netflix. Though an official announcement in this regard is pending, reports suggest that the film will be available for streaming starting January 26, 2024.

Besides Ranbir Kapoor, the film also carries an ensemble cast comprising of Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, Tripti Dimri, Anil Kapoor and others. Animal is currently still running in theatres.
