Kho Gaye Hum Kahan starring Ananya Panday, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Adarsh Gourav  has been receiving a lot of positive responses from the audience. The film helmed by Arjun Varain Singh revolves around the lives of three friends, Ahana, Imaad, and Neil, who have been best friends since childhood. In a recent interview, the creators of the film sat together and shared why there was no love angle between the three friends.

Why was there no love angle between the friends in Kho Gaye Hum Kahan?

Speaking to Humans of Cinema, director Arjun Varain Singh said that he never planned to create a romantic angle between Ahana (Ananya), Neil (Adarsh) and Imaad (Siddhant). He said, "That was never a part of the plan. It just needed to be natural and it seemed fun. We often see three boys but it’s nice to have a girl who is a part of the gang. That is how it is in the real life as well."

Zoya Akhtar backed Singh and added, "We all have that in our lives. We have friends who have been friends, and have remained friends. It has never crossed over to anything else and has stayed true to that. But it doesn’t get reflected somehow."

What did Zoya Akhtar say about about Kho Gaye Hum Kahan cast?

In a conversation with the media, Zoya she opened up on the performances of the actors and what made her choose Arjun Varain as the film's director.

"The characters required the actors to be vulnerable," explained Zoya. "Ananya, Siddhant and Adarsh are too good and real in the film. There was a feeling of being not good enough that had to come out from their roles and each one of them was able to do it in a naked, vulnerable way."

Talking about Arjun's direction, Zoya said, "When one does not have a body of work and wants to be a director, one needs to have a voice and a clear perspective. Arjun has a voice and a very clear perspective. He is also very sensitive. Those are the things you look out for in a director."

'Kho Gaye Hum Kahan' is a coming-of-age drama directed by Arjun Varain Singh. It focuses on the lives of three best friends and how they manage their career goals, relationships and emotions together.
