Rana Daggubati, Venkatesh led series Rana Naidu becomes only Indian title in Netflix's top 400 list

Despite the Rana Daggubati and Venkatesh led Rana Naidu receiving criticism for its bold content, the series has made it to Netflix's top 400 list.

Netflix has revealed its January to June report for 2023 in terms of titles which have accrued the most viewership. Among this, only one Indian title has emerged as a place holder in the top 400 list. The series, in question, Rana Naidu, has achieved this feat against a hefty 18000 more titles.

 

Rana Naidu makes it to Netflix's top 400 lists

Rana Naidu, stands at position 336 of the 400-titles long list. The series has clocked in viewing hours amounting to 4,63,00,000 hours. For comparison, The Night Agent and Ginny and Georgia which topped the list have registered 81,21,00,000 and 66,51,00,000 viewing hours, respectively. 


Rana Naidu is based on American crime drama series Ray Donovan. The series has been directed by Suparn Verma and Karan Anshuman. It stars Rana Daggubati and Venkatesh Daggubati in the lead with an ensemble cast made up of Suchitra Pillai, Rajini Basumatary, Gaurav Chopra and Surveen Chawla. The series also incidentally featured Rana Daggubati and Venkatesh Daggubati, the real-life uncle, nephew duo, for the first time in the same project.

Other Indian titles which made it to the list of top 1000 titles

Besides Rana Naidu being in the top 400, there have been other Indian titles too, which have ranked in the list of top 1000 most viewed titles. Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga featured at position 401, Mission Manju at 599, Indian Matchmaking at 615, Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway at 651, the Hindi version of RRR at 660, Class season 1 at 724, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar at 762 and Shehzaada at 840.

Besides these other titles that made the cut were Scoop, Gumraah, Khakee: The Bihar Chapter, Trial by Fire, Delhi Crime season 1 and Sacred Games season 1
