Saltburn on OTT: When and where to watch Jacob Elordi-Barry Keoghan starrer psychological drama

Saltburn, written and directed by Academy Award winner Emerald Fennell, debuted in theatres on November 17. The film is headlined by Barry Keoghan and Jacob Elordi and managed to earn $10 million at the box office, despite its limited theatrical release. Now, the film has found a new home on the streaming platform, Prime Video. 

When is Saltburn releasing on Prime Video?

Saltburn will be available to stream from December 22 on Prime Video. The movie's production costs are still unknown, but its box office haul from its independent release may have hastened its streaming release. Since it's an independent project, financial success isn't always dependent on a strong box office showing.

What is Saltburn about? 

Oliver Quick (Barry Keoghan), a young man who longs for a life he does not have, is enthralled with Felix Catton (Jacob Elordi), the personification of privilege and wealth. Oliver is thrilled to have the opportunity to visit Felix's summer retreat, Saltburn, as he has only ever dreamed of going there. 

He has no idea, though, that this picture-perfect getaway will turn into a furnace that will push his desires to their limits and reveal the weaknesses hiding beneath the glossy exterior.

Aside from Elordi and Keoghan, Rosamund Pike, Richard E. Grant, Alison Oliver, and Archie Madekwe are also part of the ensemble cast in Saltburn. The movie was filmed all over the UK and is set in the middle of the 2000s. Following the Oscar-winning 2020 film Promising Young Woman, Saltburn is Fennell's second directorial effort.
