Jo Jung Suk-Shin Se Kyung starrer Captivating the King poster, release date out

The Jo Jung Suk and Shin Se Kyung led period drama series, Captivating the King, recently released its first poster. What's more, the poster also carries details of when and where the series will be made available for screening. The poster also reveals a certain sub-plot which is to be featured in the story.

Captivating the King releases its first poster

Korean period drama series Captivating the King recently released its first poster. Jo Jung Suk and Shin Se Kyung are both featured in the poster and can be seen involved in a pensive game of Go which will appear to play an important subtext in the film. The show will premiere on tvN, January 21 next year.

What is Captivating the King about?

Captivating the King has been directed by Jo Nam Kook who has previously worked on The Good Detective and Untouchable. The screenplay for Captivating the King has been written by Kim Sun Deok. Jo Jung Suk will essay the role of Prince Lee In, who is very loyal to his older brother King Lee Sun but ends up being taken hostage as a traitor by the Qing dynasty.

This is when Prince Lee In meets Go player Kang Hee So, played by Shin Se Kyung and the two fall in love. The plot will also feature Hee So eventually turn into a spy to exact revenge on the king.
