Rajinikanth, Shiva Rajkumar gear up for confrontation in Jailer new poster

Rajinikanth starrer Jailer is all set to make its theatrical debut on August 10. The film also features Tamannaah Bhatia, Mohanlal and Shiva Rajkumar in significant roles. It has created a buzz among fans with its trailer. Here is the latest update about Jailer. Its bnew poster is out.

Rajinikanth and Shiva Rajkumar in intense staredown 

Sun Pictures shared the poster on its X handle and wrote, “Superstar - Shivanna. Get ready to watch them together for the first time. 4 more days to go for #Jailer (sic)."  The black-and-white image featured Rajinikanth and Shiva Rajkumar standing against the backdrop of a paddy field. The two are looking at each other quite intensely.

What is Jailer about? 

The plot of Jailer revolves around a gangster who forms a plan to escape the guarded prison with his cellmates. After hatching a plan, the entire gang attempts to flee. However, they cross paths with a strict jailer who confronts them and hampers their plan. The twist would be how the jailer manages to keep up with the gang's plans inside the prison.

The movie received a U/A certificate from the CBFC and has a runtime of 2 hours, 49-minutes. It will open in theatres on August 10 and advance booking is already underway. The film will be face competition from Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2 and Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 at the box office. The Hindi films are releasing on August 11. 

Helmed by Nelson, the Jailer also stars Tamannaah Bhatia, Mohanlal, Jackie Shroff and others in important roles. Production house Sun Pictures will be teaming up with the popular banner Ayngaran International, for the overseas distribution and release of this much-hyped Rajinikanth film.
