The actress' most recent escapade has been a solo trip to Austria. While there, Samantha let her fans and followers in on a childhood anecdote that she still applies in her life as an adult.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu shares childhood anecdote

Samantha Ruth Prabhu took to her Instagram handle to share a series of pictures of herself from her trip to Salzburg in Austria. The main purpose of her visit was to see the Villa Trapp located in Aigen - the same that was fashioned as the Trapp family home from the 1965 musical romance Sound Of Music.

This film, as revealed by Samantha was an integral part of her childhood. Not only would she repeatedly revisit the film when she was feeling sad, but do the same even when in moments of happiness. Visiting the landmark location then, made for a very full-circle moment for her.

Excerpts from her caption read, "Whenever I’d feel very happy or very sad as a child… I’d rewatch Sound Of Music. It was my escape. It would transport me to a magical world that would give me the detachment from reality I needed. To me it was a mystical place that was comforting, not real. I’d keep going back to the film as I grew older...Coming here and visiting this location in person hit hard and tender all at the same time."
