Amaran OTT Release: Digital Premiere Of Sivakarthikeyan-Sai Pallavi Starrer Delayed, Know Why

The biographical drama Amaran featuring Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi has been receiving immense love and appreciation from the audience for the storyline and acting skills by the actors. The film is based on a true story and has dubbed as one of the best films currently. Amid this, the film will reportedly have a delayed OTT release.

Amaran’s OTT release to be delayed?

Since Tamil biographical drama Amaran has entered ₹100 crore club at the India box office, the film will reportedly a successful run at least two to three weeks more o fetch big numbers. According to reports, taking this into consideration, the film will witness a delayed OTT release.

For the unversed, the biopic is adapted from the book India’s Most Fearless by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh. It seeks to honour not just a soldier but a real-life hero's sacrifices and emotional struggles. Amaran chronicles the journey of Major Mukund and Indhu from their first meeting in college to marriage and beyond.

Major Mukund Varadarajan, who served in the Rajput Regiment of the Indian Army, received the Ashoka Chakra posthumously for his courage in a counterterrorism operation in Jammu and Kashmir. After her husband's heroic death in 2014, Mukund's wife left with their three-year-old daughter, having been married for less than five years.

Amaran box office collection

Amaran has performed well the first 10 days at the box office and has earned around ₹136.75 crore India net. On 11th day, the film has collected ₹16 crore taking its total collection to ₹152.75 crore.

Amaran had an overall 73.33% Tamil Occupancy on November 10 with highest recorded in Coimbatore (85.50%), Pondicherry (83.50%), Madurai (71.25%), Kochi (72.75%) and Dindigul (70%) among others.
