Captain Miller: Dhanush, Shiva Rajkumar set the dance floor on fire in film's third single Koranaaru

The makers of Dhanush starrer Captain Miller released their third solo today. The song titled, Koranaaru, has been composed by popular music composer GV Prakash Kumar, and the video features the film’s leads Dhanush and Shiva Rajkumar.

Konamaaru has a haunting chant-like vibe

While the shared Koranaaru lyrical video mostly comprises of song stills, the video also contains brief snippets of the actual song sequence that will be part of the film. As clear in the snippets, the film’s leads Dhanush and Shiva Rajkumar can be seen dancing with all the villagers in a celebratory bout. The video also interestingly included brief clips from behind-the-scenes which shows the extreme weather conditions in which the makers shot the sequence.

From a musical perspective, Koranaaru has a haunting chant-like feel like it. At the same time, it is also very rousing in its rhythm and energy. The song has been sung by Santosh Hariharan, Deva and Alexander Babu. Umadevi has penned the lyrics for the film.

Captain Miller is directed by Arun Matheswaran

Set in British-ruled India of the 1930s and 1940s, Captain Miller promises to be an engaging action drama and a visual spectacle. Also, the film has been mounted mounted as a bonafide pan-India film. This is the first project of such nature for Dhanush who has earlier worked in a few Hindi films like Raanjhanaa, Shamitabh and Atrangi Re. Barring Raanjhanaa, none was these was a successful venture at box office.

Captain Miller is directed by Arun Matheswaran, who had earlier made films like Rocky and Saani Kaayidham, and produced by Sendhil Thyagaraj and Arjun Thygarajan under the banner of Sathya Jyothi Films. Priyanka Mohan is the female lead for the film. Additionally, actors like Shiv Rajkumar, Sundeep Kishan, and RRR fame Edward Sonnenblick are also part of the film’s cast. 

Captain Miller is slated to release on January 14, clashing on the Pongal weekend with other big releases like Siva Karthikeyan starrer sci-fi comedy Ayalaan.
