Captain Miller marks the first collaboration between Dhanush and director Arun Matheswaran who is known for his work in the film Rocky. The movie is expected to be a period action entertainer and has an ensemble cast of actors including Shiva Rajkumar, Priyanka Mohan, Sundeep Kishan and Vinoth Kishan among others.
Dhanush in this movie portrays the lead character who is a rebel leader compelled to take a stand when faced with adversity. Director Arun Matheswaran also hinted at Captain Miller being the first part of a planned three-part franchise.
