DC Box Office Collection Day 4: Lokesh Kanagaraj-Wamiqa Gabbi Starrer Passes Monday Test, Earns ₹26.65 Crore

DC Box Office Collection: Lokesh Kanagaraj and Wamiqa Gabbi starrer opened at ₹4.40 crore in India, and in the opening weekend it surpassed the ₹20 crore mark. However, the real test was the Monday collection, and the film passed with flying colours. The film did witness a decline in collections but earned more than on its opening day.

According to Sacnilk, the film earned ₹5.70 crore across 4,525 shows in India. This brings the net total to ₹26.65 crore and gross total to ₹30.65 crore.

Overseas, the film collected ₹1.50 crore on Monday, taking the gross total to ₹13.25 crore.

Adding domestic and overseas collections, the worldwide gross collection stands at ₹43.90 crore.

DC registered 40.41 per cent overall Tamil occupancy on Monday, with the maximum reported in Kochi (66.5 per cent).

DC marks a significant milestone for Lokesh Kanagaraj, who has earned widespread recognition as the director of films including Maanagaram, Kaithi, Master, Vikram, Leo and Coolie. Critics and the audience are praising Lokesh's performance.

In the film, Lokesh plays Devadas, a man with a violent past who finds himself on the run from the police after a police officer is killed. As authorities hunt for the murderer, he also becomes entangled in a separate case involving stolen weapons, with both investigations eventually converging. Amid the chaos, Devadas shares a complicated relationship with Chandra, played by Wamiqa.

The film's music has been composed by Anirudh Ravichander, who has created a 15-track soundtrack blending haunting melodies with high-energy compositions to complement the film's emotional and action-packed narrative. The additional screenplay is by Arun Ranjan, while Arun Matheswaran and Franklin Jacob have penned dialogues. Cinematography is by Mukesh G, and editing is by G. K. Prasanna.

Produced by Sun Pictures, the film was distributed across North India's Hindi-speaking markets by Dharma Productions.
