Dragon Box Office Collection Day 4: Pradeep Ranganathan's Film Maintains Steady Pace On First Monday, Mints ₹5.5 Crore
Dragon Box Office Collection: The Tamil film is showing no signs of slowing down and has registered a rock-solid business on the first Monday of release.
Dragon Box Office Collection: The Pradeep Ranganathan starrer hit the big screen on February 21. The coming-of-age drama was released alongside Dhanush's directorial film Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam (NEEK) but has dominated it at the ticketing counter. After a fulfilling first weekend, Dragon has afloat on the first Monday.
Dragon remains steady at the box office on the first Monday of its release
The Pradeep Ranganatham starrer opened to a decent ₹6.5 crore on day 1. Released in Tamil and Telugu, the movie has recorded maximum occupancy in Trichy, Tamil Nadu followed by Chennai. Dragon performed well in the first weekend of release and minted ₹10.8 crores on Saturday and ₹12.75 crores on the first Sunday.

Though registering a dip, the movie maintained a steady collection on Monday, which was the first working day after the release. On Monday, Dragon raked in ₹5.50 crore, as per Sacnilk. The movie has amassed a total of ₹35.55 crore in the four-day theatrical run. The movie is expected to continue the pace at the box office in the coming week.
Dragon surpasses NEEK at box office
Dragon was released alongside NEEK in a clash but the Pradeep Ranganatham movie has performed much better. While the Dhanush directorial opened to a ₹ 1.15 Cr, the Dragon minted ₹ 6.5 Cr. At the end of the four-day theatrical run, the coming-of-age movie has minted ₹35.55 crores while NEEK has raked in only ₹4.98 crores.
Dragon is helmed by Ashwath Marimuthu and produced by AGS Entertainment. Apart from Pradeep Ranganathan, the Tamil language film also stars Anupama Parameswaran and Kayudu Lohar, George Maryan, Indumathy Manikandan, Gautham Vasudev Menon and KS Ravikumar among others.
