On Sunday, Vijay Sethupathi debuted a new look while attending an event in Chennai. The actor embraced a retro look, sporting a pencil moustache and thick-rimmed glasses. As soon as photos of Vijay in the new look made it’s way to social media, netizens started speculating that it’s the actor’s look for his upcoming project with Mysskin. However, it is also speculated that it could be Vijay’s look for the upcoming sequel to Vetri Maaran's Viduthalai.

Vijay Sethupathi sports new look for upcoming movie
Vijay Sethupathi took his fans by surprise when he made an appearance at an event in Chennai in a new retro look that has gone viral online. The look is reportedly from his upcoming movie Viduthalai Part 2. In the crime thriller film, the actor will play Vaathiyaar, the leader of a revolutionary group who is wanted by the police.

Vijay Sethupathi had a bearded look in the first installment, which was released in March. The film was set in the late 1980s and Vijay had a rugged look in the flashback. According to reports, the sequel would include more incidents from Vaathiyar's past, for which the actor has adopted this new look. Vetrimaaran and his crew have been filming for the film near Thiruvallur for the past month.

Following the success of Viduthalai Part 1 starring Soori and Vijay Sethupathi, director Vetrimaaran is preparing to finish the film's second installment. It was previously reported that actress Manju Warrier, who worked with the acclaimed director on Dhanush's Asuran, has been cast in a prominent role in the film. Latest media reports also suggest that actor Dinesh of Attakathi fame has also joined the cast of the film.
