Nassar gives an update about veteran actor Vijayakanth's health, says he is stable
Veteran actor Vijayakanth was hospitalised due to cough and throat ache on November 20. Following that, Nassar visited him and provided an update on his health.
Veteran actor Vijayakanth was hospitalised due to cough and throat ache on November 20. It was later reported that his health condition kept deteriorating and he was was put on pulmonary support in the hospital. Following that, Nassar, who is the President of the Nadigar Sangam (Tamil Actor's Union) visited the actor in the hospital and provided an update on his health.
What did Nassar say about Vijayakanth's health condition?
During a press meet after his visit, actor Nassar talked about Vijayalkanth's health and shared that his condition is stable and he is on the road to recovery. He said that he had a word with the lead doctor at the hospital and he also revealed that the actor's condition has been improving.
Additionally he said that he only spoke to the doctors and Vijayakanth's family and did not visit him in the ICU to the avoid rish of infection. Lastly, he addressed the crowd and told them not to believe in false rumours about the actor's health condition.

Vijayakanth, also known as Captain Vijayakanth by his fans and admirers, has had a successful film career. For the unversed, he has worked predominantly in the Tamil film industry. He made his film debut in 1979 with the film Inikkum Ilamai and was last seen in a cameo role in the 2015 film Sagaptham. Throughout his career, the actor has won numerous awards, including the Tamil Nadu State Award for Best Actor in 1988 for the film Senthoora Poove.
Apart from acting, Vijayakanth has also had a successful political career, founding his own political party, Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam, in 2005. They ran in the Legislative Assembly elections in 2006 and won one seat. The AIADMK and the party formed an alliance in 2011. Thennavan actor won the elections and led the opposition for the next five years.
