The first three of Swift's six performances at the SoFi stadium in California in August will be shown in The Eras tour concert film. The movie is independently produced by Taylor Swift Productions and directed by Sam Wrench, who has previously worked on concert films for Billie Eilish and Lizzo.

Since the runtime of the film is only 165 minutes, it is likely that it won't cover the whole Eras tour setlist, which consists of 44 songs and lasts for more than three hours. No additional information regarding the movie's plot has been released.

Eras tour concert film breaks single-day sales record

Initial screenings of the concert movie in the United States sold out so quickly that rival studios had to quickly shift some of their movies off from their scheduled opening dates on October 13. After AMC sold $26 million in tickets on the first day they went on sale, a single-day record for the company, expectations for the movie's box office skyrocketed. This total did not include the sales for other chains or independent theatres that also put tickets on sale that day.
