Deverakonda vs Deverakonda On September 11, As Anand's Epic Sets To Clash With Vijay-Rashmika Mandanna's Ranabaali

Anand Deverakonda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya are busy with their upcoming project Epic: First Semester. As the film is inching closer to completion, the makers announced the release date. Interestingly, it will be a family war in September 2026 at the box office as Anand's elder brother Vijay Deverakonda's Ranabaali is also scheduled to hit the theatres on the same date.

The production house Sithara Entertainments took to its official X handle and shared a poster announcing the film will release on September 11. The most beautiful journeys begin with the simplest moments. EPIC ~ First Semester in theatres worldwide on September 11th, 2026," read the caption.

Helmed by Aditya Haasan, marking his directorial debut, the film also stars Sivaji and Vasuki. The film is a spin-off series of the web series A Middle Class Biopic. Produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya, the film has music by Malayalam music director Hesham Abdul Wahab. Cinematography for the film is by Azeem Mohammad, while editing is by Navin Nooli.

All about Ranabaali

Helmed by Rahul Sankrityan, Ranabaali, the film is set in 19th-century India. It is inspired by real historical events that took place between 1854 and 1878. The film marks the reunion of the most-loved couple Vijay and Rashmika on-screen after 7 years. This will be their third on-screen collaboration after Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade. Not just this, the film also marks the third collaboration between Vijay and production house Mythri Movie Makers, headed by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar.

With the pair coming together on-screen after years, the anticipation around the film has already spiked. Hence, the battle is going to be tough for Anand's Epic.

However, it seems the makers of Ranabaali might postpone the release as it is still in the making.
