Double iSmart Box Office Day 1: Ram Pothineni Starrer Earns ₹7.5 Crore In Dull I-Day Opening

Double iSmart Box Office: Ram Pothineni and Puri Jagannadh's collaboration, which released on Independence Day after several delays, is receiving mixed reviews from the audience. Know how the Telugu film performed at the box office.

According to a report in Sacnilk, the action thriller collected overall ₹7.5 crore on day 1 of its release. Double iSmart box minted  ₹7 crore in its Telugu version while Hindi earned ₹0.5 crore. The film had an overall 63.98% Telugu Occupancy on Thursday and 33.35% in Hindi.

Mixed reviews from netizens for the film

Social media users  who watched the early show of the film took to X to express their opinion after watching the film, saying it could have been done better. Meanwhile others supported the Ram Pothineni starrer. One user wrote, “Shocked, surprised. It is lewd, vulgar and outright distasteful for the most part”. Another user wrote, “Same age-old…Routine mass masala, repetitive and boring content…total disaster,,,rapo energy”

Puri Jagannadh made a huge investment in Double iSmart?

According to reports, the filmmaker had allocated a whopping ₹8 crore to only shoot the climax of the film. The concluding scene of the film had reportedly been shot over a period of 12 days in Mumbai. The grand vision for the same is reportedly a contributing factor to the film's big budget.

All About Double iSmart

Double iSmart is directed by Puri Jagannadh and the film stars Ram Pothineni, Kavya Thapar, Sanjay Dutt, Vishu Reddy, Willy Zogo and VJ Bani among others. In the film, Sanjay Dutt played the role of antagonist in the film.

Double iSmart is a sequel to Pothineni and Jagannadh’s 2019 sci-fi action film iSmart Shankar, about an assassin who helps the police when a slain cop’s memories are transferred to his brain.
