Eagle director makes shocking revelations about film's plot, says Ravi Teja starrer is not serious
The Ravi Teja starrer Eagle is gearing up for a five-way box office clash with other big banner Telugu releases slated for the Sankranti weekend.
Ravi Teja is currently gearing up for the release of his big banner project, Eagle. The film is slated to hit theatres on January 13 and will be part of an intense five-way box office clash. Ahead of the same, director Karthik Ghattamaneni has revealed certain details about the tone of Eagle, doing away with misconceptions about the kind of audience the Ravi Teja starrer is meant for.

Karthik Ghattamaneni says Eagle is not a serious film
During a promotional media interaction for the film, Eagle director Karthik Ghattamaneni opened up about what audiences can expect from the film. The director addressed how while many would presume that Eagle is a serious film, there is enough entertainment and dark humour to keep the audiences entertained throughout.

He said, "We presented the film’s story in the trailer, and hence, people might have felt Eagle is a serious film...Eagle will not have Ravi Teja sir’s mark entertainment, but it will be entertaining in another way. At the end of the day, Eagle is a proper commercial entertainer. As long as the movie is engaging without boring elements, the audience will watch it irrespective of its genre. We haven’t used a few traits of Ravi Teja sir in the film and went ahead as per the story. We suppressed the pro-active trait of Ravi sir."
Eagle is heading in for a massive box office clash
Eagle will be releasing in theatres on January 13. It makes up for one of the five big banner films slated for a release around Sankranti this year. Trivikram Srinivas' Mahesh Babu starrer Guntur Kaaram and Prashanth Verma's Teja Sajja led Hanu Man, will both be releasing on January 12. January 14 has been set as the official release date of the Nagarjuna led Naa Saami Ranga.

Additionally, Nag Ashwin's Prabhas, Kamal Haasan and Amitabh Bachchan starrer pan-India project, Kalki 2898 AD will also be releasing in theatres on January 12.
