Mahesh Babu, Sreeleela's Guntur Kaaram producer clears the air over criticism of Oh My Baby song

The makers of Guntur Kaaram recently released the second single from the film, titled Oh My Baby. The track however, has largely received criticism from the audience. Addressing the same, producer Naga Vamsi, had a firm reply ready, which too has attracted negative attention to the film.

Naga Vamsi dismisses criticism over Guntur Kaaram single's negative reception

The makers of Guntur Kaaram released the film's second single, Oh My Baby, on December 11. On December 15, producer Naga Vamsi took to his official X handle to share a meme from Ranbir Kapoor's Animal which entails a joke shared in the film comprising of an inappropriate gesture. The adjoining caption to the meme simply stated how team Guntur Kaaram knows what they are doing and they will simply see the audience in theatres on January 12. 

Guntur Kaaram will mark the year-long hiatus film lead Mahesh Babu has been on. The actor was last seen in 2022 Parasuram helmed action drama, Sarkaru Vaari Paata. The actor has had no release in 2023 and will commence the next year with his return to the silver screen in Guntur Kaaram. The Trivikram Srinivas massy potboiler stars Sreeleela opposite the actor and will release in theatres worldwide on January 12.

Naga Vamsi attempts to diffuse the situation

Seeing the strong response to his abrasive reaction, Vamsi attempted to diffuse the situation. He once again took to his X handle to explain how if his reaction as hurt the audience, he has also felt the same with the cast and crew of the film being attacked online. Vamsi further pacified the audience by asking them to wait for the full cut of the film in theatres. 

His reply read, "As a producer, my reply has hurt you, right. Now, understand how we feel when our teammates are targeted with personal abuses day-in and day-out for just doing their job. Feedback of any kind is welcome until there is no abuse, personal targeting and unnecessary harsh words. You can express your opinion in a polite manner as well. Let’s enjoy the film in theatres with our dear SUPERSTAR Mahesh garu in a never before mass avatar"
