Rana Daggubati to work with director Teja again after Nene Raju Nene Mantri?

Rana Daggubati, who was last seen in series Rana Naidu will reportedly be teaming up with director Teja once again, post their 2017 film Nene Raju Nene Mantri.

Rana Daggubati has had a busy year as he was involved in multiple roles in the content space. The Baahubali actor featured in Garry BH helmed Telugu action thriller Spy, where he had a cameo appearance. His big project this year was his Netflix series Rana Naidu in which he notably featured alongside his real-life uncle, Venkatesh Daggubati. The actor also stepped into the role of a producer with Maya Bazaar for Sale, along with being the presenter for Pareshan and Keedaa Cola. Even as the actor continues to film for his next releases - Thalaivar 170 and Hiranyakashyap, there is immense buzz surrounding a potential future project for the actor.

 

Rana Daggubati to reunite with director Teja?

As per a recent 123Telugu report, Rana Daggubati is currently in talks with director Teja to star in his next. An inkling of the same was dropped by Teja while he was promoting his June release, the Abhiram Daggubati and Geethika Tiwary-led Ahimsa. As per the latest buzz, Teja has now approached Santhosh Narayanan to become the music director of his alleged project with Rana Daggubati. Additionally. Gopichand Achanta will reportedly be bankrolling the project.


Interestingly, as Teja puts together his impending project with Rana Daggubati, the director happens to currently be in Vijaywada with the latter's uncle, Venkatesh Daggubati, instead of promoting their film, Saindhav, together. The female lead for the Rana Daggubati project along with other details are yet to be revealed.

Rana Daggubati had expressed his desire to star in Kalki 2898 AD

In an interview with Film Companion, Rana Daggubati revealed how walking onto the sets of Kalki, to meet his good friend, director Nag Ashwin, he was immensely jealous. Daggubati explained, “The first time I got jealous seeing somebody was when I went to the sets of Kalki...And when I walked into the set, I was like, ‘Sh*t, he’s making this. Like he’s making everything that I dreamt of.’ And I remember I didn’t talk to him that day. I went back home and I called him and said, ‘Dude, I’m jealous. I don’t know why.’ And he said, ‘Dude, only when you’re jealous I know I’m doing the right things.’...”

Kalki 2898 AD will be releasing in theatres on January 12, 2024.
