Naga Chaitanya's Thandel has gone on the floors and the makers shared a new still of the Telugu star giving an update on the shoot. All you need to know about 'NC23' Thandel

Earlier in November, on the occasion of Naga Chaitanya's birthday, the first look poster of the upcoming film was revealed by the makers alongside the official title. The poster shows the actor sitting on an old broken wooden boat, resembling something similar to the older 18th century European boats employed mostly by pirates, though this doesn’t look like a historical film at all as the actor was wearing modern day undershirts and pants.

Looking like one stormy adventure full of blood-pumping adrenaline, Dhullakotteyala (Thandel) will also feature actress Sai Pallavi, and is directed by Chandoo Mondeti, featuring music by Devi Sri Prasad and production from Allu Aravind.

Thandel based on a real story?

According to 123telugu.com, Thandel draws inspiration from a real-life incident that occurred in 2018 in Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh. Revolving around the fishing community, the film will be set in the backdrop of a love story and reportedly have some action-packed sequences. Thandel is set for a multilingual release, offering the moviegoers a diverse cinematic experience.

Ahead of the announcement, Naga Chaitanya visited Srikakulam, interacted with local fishermen and explored potential filming sites for the filming.
