Vijay Antony, CS Amuthan announce release date for upcoming film Raththam 

Vijay Antony's next big release, Raththam, now has an official release date. The announcement was made through a video shared by Vijay Antony on his social media handles. The video also has details on the elaborate promotional strategy the makers have planned for the film.

Vijay Antony reveals release date for Raththam

Vijay Antony took to his X account to share an elaborate video which reveals the release date for Raththam. As per the update, Raththam is slated for a September 28 release. Not just this, the video also reveals other information about the film - particularly the chronology of their promotional strategy. 

The video features Vijay Antony and producer Dhananjayan discussing their plans for Raththam. Dhananjayan can be seen revealing how the makers will release a motion poster, teaser, first single, first promo, second single, second promo and then the trailer. The video also revealed that the film would be promoted by eminent faces of the industry.

What is Raththam about?

As per a teaser released last year, the film will focus on an individual whose life spins out of control after an incident followed by his attempts to bring his life back on track. Raththam is also a milestone film for CS Amuthan. While the director is known to direct comedy films, Raththam marks a conscious shift on his part to move to the thriller genre. Raththam is also a major release for Vijay Anthony as it marks his third film of 2023. Previously, he has been seen in films Pichaikkaran 2 and Kolai - both thrillers.
