Ahmedabad: Ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 final in which India is all set to clash against Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his best wishes to the Men in Blue.

All the best Team India!

He wrote on X, formerly Twitter, “All the best Team India! 140 crore Indians are cheering for you. May you shine bright, play well and uphold the spirit of sportsmanship.”

The much-anticipated ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 final has commenced. PM Narendra Modi will be among the audience who are gathering to witness the much-awaited match in Ahmedabad.

The Indian cricket team will be looking for its third ODI World Cup title when it clashes against five-time champions Australia.

The Indian cricket team made their entry to the finals after having won all the 10 matches played in the tournament.

India will create history: Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur 

Extending wishes to Team India, Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur on Sunday said that the best wishes of 140 crore Indians are with Team India.

He said, ”The best wishes of 140 crore Indians are with team India. I have full hope that India will perform well and will create history."

Best wishes pour in for Team India

Asserting India’s victory in the World Cup match, Uttar Pradesh Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak said that today the Indian team would win.
"Today the Indian team will win. The whole world will have their eyes on the Ahmedabad stadium... Some fortunate people will watch it from the stadium. I give my best wishes to the team India...," said Uttar Pradesh Deputy CM said.

Whereas West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee tweeted, "Best wishes and good luck prayers for Team India on a great historic occasion and on the eve of a most dramatic battle of cricket in the world arena!! The entire nation awaits your march and triumph, your command and ascent to pinnacle!! Make us proud, players, make us glorious today!!" 

BJP MP Tejasvi Surya said the whole world knew that India would win. "Today is the World Cup final and the whole world knows that India will win. Youths across the country are very excited today and we are very confident about a spectacular win," the BJP MP said. 

Congress president and Rajya Sabha MP Mallikarjun Kharge said, “All the best Team India, go and win the game, the whole country is with you.” 

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar said that the entire nation eagerly awaited for the final spectacular display. 
"I extend my warmest wishes to the Men in Blue as they prepare to face Australia in the Cricket World Cup final today. As the entire nation eagerly awaits for this final spectacular display, play with passion, determination, and unwavering spirit. May our boys' determination and grit lead them to victory!" DK Shivakumar said.
