Seven houses belonging to Kuki tribe were burnt down in Manipur on Monday.
Imphal: Seven houses belonging to Kuki tribe were burnt down in Manipur on Monday. The incident took place in Kangpokpi district at around 12:30 pm.
A statement by Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) stated that the outfit burnt down Kuki houses located in K. Songlung village under Donglung Sadar hills in a mass operation against illegal poppy cultivation and encroachment.
ZUF has been carrying out destruction of illegal poppy plantation and encroachment in the area mainly dominated areas by illegal immigrants.
