The Bihar Legislative Assembly elections, held in two phases on November 6 and 11, 2025, saw a record voter turnout of 67.13% — the highest since 1951. Vote counting began at 8:00 AM today across 46 centres for all 243 seats. Early trends and leads have solidified into a resounding victory for the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA), led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's JD(U) and the BJP. After 15 rounds of counting in Tarapur, Choudhary is projected to win the seat with a huge lead of 19,426 votes against RJD's Arun Kumar.
