Foreigners At Jantar Mantar Protest Trigger ‘Major Security Breach’ Concerns, BJP Says ‘Tukde-Tukde Gang’ Conspiring Against India

New Delhi: A major political controversy has erupted following reports of foreign nationals, including American citizens, spotted participating in and recording demonstrations at the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest site at Jantar Mantar. 

The development has triggered sharp criticism from ruling party leaders, who labelled the presence of foreigners a serious security breach and alleged foreign intervention in domestic agitations.

Video footage circulating online shows individuals identified as foreign citizens actively filming the crowd and allegedly joining in anti-government chanting alongside demonstrators. 

The presence of non-Indian nationals at a high-intensity political demonstration near Parliament has raised questions among security analysts and political leaders regarding compliance with Indian visa norms, which prohibit foreign visitors from engaging in local political activities.

Hitting out at the organisers, BJP Mumbai President and MLA Ameet Satam accused opposition-backed networks and non-governmental entities of fueling domestic protests through foreign funding.

Satam alleged that the gathering is being manipulated by external forces seeking to destabilise domestic governance and push back against proposed regulatory frameworks like the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) amendments.

"A conspiracy involving foreign forces is being hatched behind the protests against the CJP," Satam declared. "Members of the 'Tukde-Tukde gang' are conspiring while residing in India, using funds received from abroad. They are conspiring against the FCRA Bill, as NGOs fear their foreign funding might be cut off."

The CJP agitation, which has drawn thousands of demonstrators and political figures to central Delhi over issues surrounding national competitive examinations, has already seen intense police deployments and security crackdowns over recent days.

Security agencies and law enforcement officials are evaluating the footage to verify the credentials and visa status of the foreign citizens involved.

Ruling party leaders continue to press for a thorough investigation into the organisers' international links and financial backing.
