Heavy Snowfall & Landslide in Himachal Pradesh
Heavy snowfall and rain in Himachal Pradesh have triggered landslides and blocked key roads and national highways, disrupting daily life in the region.
The ongoing weather conditions have led to the closure of approximately 200 roads, cutting off several regions, including Kullu, Lahaul and Spiti, Kinnaur, Chamba, and Shimla districts.
In Kullu district, heavy rainfall continues to cause havoc, with Akhara Bazaar and Gandhi Nagar being submerged by the flooding waters. The gushing waters have spilled over onto roads, causing damage to vehicles that were parked on the roadside.
The administration is working to manage the situation as the rain persists.
Due to fresh snowfall at Solang Nallah, Gulaba, Atal Tunnel, and Rohtang, the authorities have restricted vehicular movement beyond Nehru Kund.
