New Delhi: Residents of Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) woke up to a refreshing change in weather as light showers graced the area early Thursday morning. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had predicted thunderstorms and rain for the day, and the forecast held true, amid mild cold in the region.

The light rain, accompanied by strong winds, has temporarily improved the air quality in the region. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi was recorded at 260, placing it in the 'poor' category. However, the showers are expected to help disperse pollutants and bring the AQI down to more moderate levels in the coming days.

Delhi Weather Update

IMD observed Maximum/Minimum Temperatures (°C) recorded upto 0830 IST of Today, 27th February 2025. Humidity levels were recorded at 72 percent at 8:30 AM.

Despite the temporary relief from the showers, Delhi's air pollution remains a persistent concern. Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely and have urged citizens to follow recommended guidelines and take necessary precautions.

As the weather pattern shifts, the IMD has also forecasted rain, snowfall, and strong winds in several northern states, including Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.
