Talking about LS LoP Rahul Gandhi's 'some in Congress working for BJP' remark made in Ahmedabad today, Congress leader and daughter of late party veteran Ahmed Patel, Mumtaz Patel says, "Today's speech made from Ahmedabad has been very encouraging for party workers. Family now demand strict action is needed against Air India officials.

After a 82 year old passenger falls at the airport, Air India issues a statement defending itself as they claim that wheelchair was provided by them to the passenger, a big lie says family of elderly woman.

In response to the viral incident, Air India refuted the family's claims, stating that the passenger and her family arrived late at the airport, leaving little time to arrange a wheelchair.

The airline explained that due to high demand, a wheelchair was not immediately available, but staff remained courteous and assisted the passenger throughout the check-in and boarding process. 

“At no point was a wheelchair or assistance denied,” the airline stated. 

Raj Pasricha’s granddaughter, Parul Kanwar, has strongly criticized Air India, alleging that no first aid was provided after the fall and that the airline only arranged a wheelchair after her grandmother boarded the flight with a bleeding lip and head injuries. 

Kanwar took to social media to express her anger, saying, “You treated my grandmother so poorly. You should be ashamed.”  

An 82-year-old woman, Raj Pasricha, is currently in the ICU after suffering a serious fall at  Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI), Delhi. The elderly passenger, the widow of a decorated Lieutenant General, was reportedly denied a pre-booked wheelchair by Air India while attempting to board a flight to Bengaluru. With no assistance available, she tried to walk but collapsed near the airline’s premium economy counter, sustaining injuries to her head and lip.

EAM Jaishankar highlighted that the inauguration of the new consulate aims to cater to the needs of a growing diaspora. This is part of a broad global objective.

"We could see the Indian community increasing in numbers, so it made great sense that after we came back into government, we moved quickly to set up a consulate. When we looked at the UK, we also looked a little bit ahead," he expressed.
