Kolkata: Days after the gruesome rape and murder of a trainee doctor at the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata, the post-mortem reports of the victim have been accessed by Republic.

The post-mortem of ‘Abhaya’ reveal chilling details, the unimaginable torture she would have gone through and the pain she had endured in her last minutes.

The victim's eyes were damaged and were bleeding, her finger was broken, her private parts were bleeding and her lips were also bruised.

‘Your Daughter Died By Suicide’: Hostel Admin to Victim's Father

The father of the trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital revisited the time when he got a call from the hospital and was informed about his daughter's death.

According to him, he got a call from the ‘Assistant Superintendent of Chest Medicine Department’ who told him, ‘Your daughter died by suicide’.

'Fell At Their Feet, Begged Them To Let Me See My Daughter'

While the father of the victim in Kolkata horror said that the college administration called their daughter's murder a ‘suicide’, her mother had another statement to make. Abhaya's mother said that on reaching the hospital, she wasn't allowed to see her daughter, even when she fell to their feet and begged them.

In her words, “I fell at their feet, begging them to let me see my daughter. But they did not. No one understands what I went through. They let us see her at 2 pm.”

All About Kolkata Rape and Murder Case

In the early hours of August 9, a 31-year-old trainee doctor's body was found in a semi-naked condition in the seminar hall of the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.

As per the autopsy reports, the victim was raped before being murdered, her neck was broken, multiple body parts including her private parts were bleeding and she was severely injured.

The accused, Sanjoy Roy, a civic worker, has been arrested and is in police custody till August 23, 2024. Sanjoy Roy has confessed to his crime and according to local media, he has no remorse or guilt for committing the heinous crime.\

The recent investigations hint at a gangrape; the case has now been handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), on the orders of the Calcutta High Court.
