Furious Jaiveer Shergill Blasts Air India Over Broken Seats And Pathetic Staff, Calls It 'Worst Airline'
The BJP National Spokesperson wrote that if there was an award for the worst airline, Air India would win it in every category.
After Minister of Agriculture, Farmers Welfare, and Rural Development Shivraj Singh Chouhan expressed his disappointment, now BJP National Spokesperson and Supreme Court Lawyer Jaiveer Shergill has voiced his strong dissatisfaction with the services of Air India. Taking to social media platform X on Tuesday, Shergill expressed his frustration over the airline's quality of service, calling Air India the 'worst airline'.
Shergill wrote that if there was an award for the worst airline, Air India would win it in every category. While giving the details of the issues he faced, the BJP spokesperson, who is also a private pilot license holder, highlighted broken seats, worst staff, and subpar customer service. He described his overall experience with the airline owned by the Tata Group and Singapore Airlines as 'pathetic'.
"Flying Air India is not a pleasant experience but today broke all records!" Shergill wrote.
Air India Responds
Responding to Shergill's post on the X, the Air India apologised for the inconvenience caused. While requesting him to share the details of the journey, the airline has assured Jaiveer Shergill that it will look into the matter.
Shivraj Singh Chouhan's jab at Air India
Shergill's outburst comes days after Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan took to X and wrote about his not so good experience with Air India during his journey from Bhopal to New Delhi. He spoke about how he was assigned a broken seat and when he reported the issue to the crew, he was informed that the seat had already been flagged as defective, yet passengers were still being booked into it.
The former Madhya Pradesh CM shared his anguish further and raised concerns about Air India's failure to improve service quality under Tata Group's management. He also questioned the ethics of charging full fares for such uncomfortable seating. "Is it not a form of exploitation?" Chouhan asked. The X post of Chouhan prompted Air India to apologise for the incident. While the airline ordered a ‘thorough probe’, the DGCA sought a report from the airline in the matter.
