Mumbai: A case of embezzlement was filed against former trustees and individuals of Lilavati Hospital and Research Center in Bandra, Mumbai involving the amount of more than Rs. 1200 crores.

Multiple FIRs ( First Information Report) were filed at the Bandra Police Station, subsequent to which, the case was assigned to the Economic Offences Wing (EOW). The third FIR alleged involvement of a third party dealing with illegal medical procurement to explain the misappropriation of more than Rs.1200 crores.

“We undertook audits and the forensic auditors have come up with more than five reports, which clearly state that more than Rs 1,500 crore has been siphoned and misappropriated by this illegal group of trustees. This money has been siphoned off by former trustees most of whom are NRIs and residents of Dubai and Belgium." said the forensic auditor at the Hospital after noticing massive irregularities, fraudulent investments, and illegal offshore transactions, indicative of siphoning of funds.

The Dark Magic Aspect…

The Lilavati Kirtilal Mehta Medical Trust (LKMMT), responsible for the management and administration of Lilavati Hospital, also alleged that black magic was performed on medical grounds by former Trustees and associated people. The claim was substantiated as eight urns containing human bones, hair and rice were found.

“Some employees said articles that are part of black magic practices have been placed under the floor of the current trustees’ office. So, in the presence of witnesses and under videography, we dug up the floor and found eight urns. They had human remains, bones, hair, and rice and other items used in black magic." stated by Parambir Singh, executive director of the hospital and Mumbai’s former Police Commissioner.

What is Dark Magic?

Dark Magic traditionally refers to the use of magic or supernatural powers for evil and selfish purposes. Practitioners of black magic often work in secrecy, and hence, it is feared and avoided by the majority. It involves casting sleeps and incantations to harm or manipulate others. Despite this, some individuals continue to practice black magic, often with serious consequences.

The Lilavati Hospital embezzlement case highlights  the shocking extent of financial mismanagement and alleged occult practices within a trusted healthcare institution, compromising the faith of patients and stakeholders.
