Hearing, Speech-Impaired Man Kills Friend Over Rs 500, Beheads & Burns Body

Firozabad: In a shocking incident, a 34-year-old hearing and speech-impaired man has been arrested in Firozabad district for allegedly strangling his friend over a dispute involving ₹500.

The accused, Rajkumar Singh, first beheaded the victim, Sonu Singh, then shaved his head and set the body ablaze in an attempt to destroy evidence.

The police were alerted to the incident on February 15 when they received a call about a headless body found in the district’s Marghati area.

Upon arriving at the scene, a police team sent the body for a postmortem examination. A case has been registered against Rajkumar under BNS Section 103(1) (murder), and he has been sent to judicial custody.

The accused and the victim were daily wage workers for the past six years and had been drinking together on the night of February 14 when the altercation occurred.

Firozabad Police launched a swift investigation, examining over 100 CCTV cameras in the area to trace the accused.

Authorities stated that they have recovered the murder weapon, blood-stained clothes, and the accused’s slippers from his home. Following this, Rajkumar, who is hearing and speech-impaired, confessed to the crime with the help of a special teacher.
