Holi Metro Alert: Lucknow & Delhi Metro to Start From Afternoon! Check New Timings Here | Image: PTI

Lucknow/New Delhi: Metro services in Lucknow and Delhi will begin at 2:30 PM on March 14, instead of the usual morning schedule, due to Holi celebrations, officials confirmed on Tuesday.

Lucknow Metro Timings on Holi

The Lucknow Metro will operate from 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM, the Uttar Pradesh Metro Corporation stated. Services will commence from both CCS Airport Metro Station and Munshipulia Metro Station and will run as usual until the last train at 10:30 PM.

The Lucknow Metro, covering 21 stations over 22.8 km, typically operates from 6:00 AM to 10:30 PM. The runtime between the two terminal stations is 40 minutes, with a headway of 5 minutes 30 seconds during peak hours.

Delhi Metro Timings on Holi

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) announced that metro services across the capital will start at 2:30 PM from all terminal stations. No trains will run before 2:30 PM, including on the Airport Express Line.

Once services resume, the metro will operate normally across the network.

Delhi Metro's New Underground Tunnel Completed

In a major infrastructure update, the Delhi Metro successfully completed a 1.55-km underground tunnel as part of its Phase 4 expansion. The tunnel, which connects Kishangarh to Vasant Kunj Metro Station, is a key section of the 19.34-km Aerocity-Tughlakabad corridor.

Passengers in Lucknow and Delhi are advised to plan their travel accordingly and check metro updates before heading out on March 14.
