2 school students apprehended for killing 12-year-old classmate after he saw them smoking cigarette
Two school students have been apprehended in Delhi on the charges of killing his 12-year-old classmate and dumping the body in a drainage, after the deceased saw them smoking cigarette in the school premises. Southeast DCP Rajesh Deo said, "Body of a 12-year-old boy was found in a drainage near his school in Badarpur and 2 of his classmates have been apprehended in connection with the case. During probe, it was revealed that victim saw accused smoking cigarette in the school premises and threatened to reveal it to school officials. The duo later lured him to an isolated place and assaulted him, which led to his death."

Delhi Police registers 2 FIR on complaints of female wrestlers against WFI chief Brij Bhushan
Two FIRs have been registered in New Delhi's Connaught Place police station by Delhi Police on complaints given by the protesting wrestlers against BJP parliamentarian and WFI president Brij Bhushan Saran Singh.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (New Delhi district) Pranav Tayal said, "In the matter of complaints received from female wrestlers, two FIRs have been registered in PS Connaught Place, New Delhi District. The first one pertains to allegations levelled by a minor victim which is registered under POCSO Act along with relevant IPC sections concerning outraging of modesty etc. The second FIR is registered for carrying out comprehensive investigations into the complaints tendered by other, adult complainants under relevant sections pertaining to outraging of modesty etc.. Investigation into both the FIRs is being taken up in right earnest."

IAF carries out 'Operation Kaveri' amid operating troubles and difficulties at night
The Indian Air Force (IAF) is carrying out 'Operation Kaveri' despite all the troubles and difficulties being faced, while operating in between Wadi Sayyidna and Jeddah. The IAF has stated, "Upon landing, the aircraft engines were kept running while eight IAF Garud Commandos secured the passengers and their luggage into the aircraft. As with the landing, the take-off from the unlit runway was also carried out using NVGs. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated 91 FM transmitters of 100 W on April 28 in a bid to give a further boost to radio connectivity in the country. "Today, this expansion of the FM service of All India Radio is an important step towards becoming All India FM. This launch of 91 FM transmission of All India Radio is like a gift to 2 crore people of 85 districts of the country", said PM Modi
According to a PMO release, the government has been committed to enhancing FM connectivity in the country. The 91 new 100 W FM transmitters have been installed in 84 districts across 18 States and 2 Union Territories. In the tweet, Annamalai said, "Do you need all this with a leader who doesn't know to play the national anthem after hoisting our national flag? Isn't yours the history of removing the line "Kannadamung Kalitelungum Kavinmalayalamum Tuluvum" from the Tamil Thai state anthem and sowing the division of the state?"
He added, "Our only mission is to save the Tamil people from you and DMK's cheap politics. do not worry!"
According to a viral video of the event, the state anthem of Tamil Nadu, Tamil Thai Vazthu played on stage during a BJP election campaign event in Karnataka's Shimoga was stopped midway by Senior BJP leader KS Eswarappa and asked to play Karnataka state anthem.
The event occurred on Thursday and was attended by BJP Tamil Nadu chief and Karnataka in-charge K Annamalai.

Udaipur: 7 cops injured in ambush attack during raid to catch history-sheeter
As many as seven uniformed personnel were seriously injured in an ambush by attackers led by a known history sheeter in Udaipur, Rajasthan Police said on Thursday. The police personnel were attacked with knives, and sticks and were also shot at while they were out to catch the history-sheeter in Mandwa, police said.
"Around 7 pm, we received information that a criminal, wanted in several cases, was hiding out in the Kookawas area. Acting on the tip-off, a police team cordoned off the area to catch the history-sheeter," Inspector General (IG), Udaipur Range, Ajay Kumar Lamba, said. He said on reaching the spot, the uniformed personnel came under fire from several attackers.
"As soon as the police personnel reached the spot, the attackers ambushed them and opened fire. They also attacked our personnel with knives and sticks," the IG said, adding that about seven police personnel were injured in the attack. The main accused is wanted in several criminal cases, including in connection with a month-old incident in Mandwa, police said.
"The injured police personnel are undergoing treatment and none of the accused have been arrested as yet," the IG informed further.
