The External Affairs Minister (EAM) attended a public event at Chatham House, and as he was leaving the venue late on Wednesday evening, a group of protesters assembled across the road, displaying flags associated with the Sikh separatist movement.
One protester breached the security cordon and ripped an Indian flag right in front of Jaishankar's vehicle.

Earlier, India also condemned “provocative activities" and attempt made by Khalistani protesters to heckle EAM Jaishankar when he was leaving the Chatham House think tank in London.
MEA spokesperson said, “We have seen the footage of a breach of security during the visit of EAM to the UK. We condemn the provocative activities of this small group of separatists and extremists."
"We deplore the misuse of democratic freedoms by such elements. We expect the host government in such cases to fully live up to their diplomatic obligations," it added.
