Kishtwar Anti-Terror Operation enters Day 2; Special Forces Airdropped in Chatroo Forests
The anti-terror operation in the dense forests of Chatroo, Kishtwar, has entered its second day, with security forces intensifying operations.
Jammu: The anti-terror operation in the dense forests of Chatroo, Kishtwar, has entered its second day, with security forces intensifying operations to eliminate terrorists hiding in the region. Special Forces of the Indian Army have joined the offensive. Elite troops were airdropped into the dense forest area to assist Jammu and Kashmir Police and the CRPF.
Senior officers, including DIG DKR Shridhar Patil and SSP Kishtwar Javed Iqbal, are supervising the operation from the ground. The security forces launched this operation after intelligence inputs confirmed the presence of four Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists, including their commander Saifullah, in the region.
Jammu and Kashmir Police have announced a cash reward of ₹5 lakh for any information leading to the capture of Saifullah.
