Republic Bangla Team Heckled, Threatened at Jadavpur University; Mamata Banerjee Mum

Reporter confirmed she was detained inside the registrar's office and pressured to delete her footage. "We are inside the registrar's room. They asked us to delete the video. This is Aurobindo Bhawan, an open space. What are they scared of?" she said during her report from the university.
Another Republic Bangla reporter, Bhaskar, was also locked inside the registrar's office while fulfilling his journalistic duties.
In a separate incident, reporter Hridita was chased off campus by an aggressive crowd during a live broadcast. However, she returned to confront those responsible, undeterred in her commitment to report the truth.

Under Mamata Banerjee’s government, there has been a pattern of curbing journalistic freedom, especially when it comes to platforms that challenge the ruling Trinamool Congress narrative.
